lov.li was a sponsor of Barcamp Portland - I designed the logo and arranged for ‘Just In time’ t-shirt printing on-site. Barcamp was a lot of fun, a huge success! Congrats to the organizers.

Filmed By Bike - Tonight!

Friday, April 13th, 2007

CAHello all of you. Did you know that Rob and I made a movie for the 2007 Filmed By Bike competition? And that it made the final cut out of 55 submissions from around the world?
Well, we did, and it did. So this post is about you doing two things.
A) We want you come to the festival and cheer us on. There are two screenings on Friday April 15th at 7 and 9pm at the Clinton Street Theater in Portland, and additional screenings the two days after that. Apparently it’s a ZOO so you have to get there way early. We’ll be there for the 7pm screening if we can all get in!! More info below.

2) We want you to watch our movie - CUMULATIVE ACCELERATION. This patriotic newsreel describes the important breakthrough of Cumulative Acceleration, a discovery with broad implications.

Here it is!

Lov.li Fair - June 3rd

Friday, April 13th, 2007

The lov.li fair is going to be fantastic. Rontom’s is a beautiful space in very-close-in Southeast, indoor and outdoor tables, cocktails and food, music, demonstrations, raffle, a make-and-take craft table, and a whole lot more.

Rontom’s is 21 and over.

Co-sponsored by DIY ALERT!, All the crafty stuff in PDX delivered right to your in-box.

Call for Artists!

This art fair is a little different - the artists are going to be treated very well.

  • There are no fees and nothing to pay for.
  • We have a couple speakers lined up to talk to the vendors before we open the doors to the public, including Torie Nguyen from DIY Lounge, who will give a talk about effective selling at craft fairs.
  • Free Craft Fair Survival Kits from The Sampler

If you would like to be considered as a vendor for the fair, please contact expatrick through lov.li with the following information. Vendors must be lov.li sellers and at least 21.

Don’t worry, you can keep it short. Our criteria is to have a collection of lov.li vendors who have quality work and have enough products to fill their space, and to have a variety of different types of work. We want a mix of experienced vendors and newbies.

  • What would you be selling? Please post items to lov.li.
  • Where do you sell your work, online and off?
  • Have you ever participated in an art or craft fair before?
  • Your best email and phone number
  • Are you 21 or over? Cause you gotta be. It’s in a bar. Sorry.

Portland Barcamp May 11-12th

Friday, April 13th, 2007

Nice logo, huh? Designed by Yours Truly.

Tech + Geek + Culture. The event for the Portland tech community, produced BY the Portland tech community.

BarCamp is coming to Portland on May 11-12!

What is BarCamp? It is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment, with discussions, demos, and interaction from participants.

BarCamp is a FREE event and the content is determined by the attendees. The event will be hosted at CubeSpace, which has a number of conference rooms for breakout sessions, a large main meeting area, wireless access, easy access to public transportation, bike storage, and ample parking.
